I am considering power washing outside of bungalow prior to painting but keen to keep windows clean, what can I use to cover over windows as they are BIG?

Get a roll of builders 100 guage plastic from a hardware shop or builders' providers.

Either tape it into the exterior reveals or, depending on the types of windows, feed the plastic from the outside and close the windows top and bottom holding the plastic in place. Wash the mess off the plastic once the walls are finished and let it dry in place before removing.

Is this the first painting? If so I would be very hesitant about using a power washer on plaster.

good point, its an old bungalow with 2 new extensions, its the old bits i want to power wash.

thanks for replies.

just thought as this is new plaster do I have to treat it with a special coat of something first? I intend to put 3 coats on new and 2 coats on old.

any help gratefully accepted, with ideas on preparation etc.
