Power point problem

I have a problem with opening powerpoint actually the problem is it wont open as normal when I click on it in all programes.When I do a system restore to a date when I know it was working properly it seems to work ok and run but when I close it and try to reopen nothing happens until I do a system restore again .Any ideas on what the problem might be .Thanks in advance
 
Can't attempt a diagnosis from the information above but if you urgently need to open/edit PowerPoint slides then you could try OpenOffice.
 
Sounds like you may need to reinstall or repair the installation...
 
Thanks for reply I can open it by going through Properties and can then manage to get it running but when I close it again and click on short cut nothing happens .If I then do a system restore to a date when I know it ran without problem it seems to work ok, what type of other information might be of use to you thanks again.
 
I suspect what Monsieur Bond means is to consider doing an uninstall (through the Add/Remove Programs utility) and reinstall (from the original install media).
