possible to find out contents of a will?

A family member believes that I have been named as a co-owner (with my father) in the will of someone who died when I was a child. Apart from the obvious routes of asking either Dad or his solicitor (neither of which I would like to do as we do not get on at all for some pretty serious reasons!)... Is there some sort of central register or similar that holds the details of wills and their benificiaries?

On the same issue... is there anywhere (again, a register of some sort?) that I can get the name(s) of the true owners of either property or land?

Many thanks in advance!

You need the correct name of the ceceased and the date of death. Copy of will can then be obtained form probate office, on payment of the standard small fee. You would then know for sure.
