I want to build an upper floor extension on an existing ground floor extension on a semi-detached house on the northside of Cork City. I have reviewed the planning regulations and I may not actually need planning permission (the only issue might be the distance between our house and the neighbours at the back).
Anyway, at a very basic level I need to find someone to do the drawings. Do I really need to pay an architect, and architects rates forthis or will a draughtsman suffice? My brother will do the building for me so I don't need anyone to oversee the building.
Any recommendations for the Cork area would be appreciated. Apologies if these details are in another thread but I couldn't find them.
