Planning search and boundary check

Hi,
We went sale agreed about a month ago, just got a letter from solicitiors asking us to do a planning search on property and they also included a folio map of property and told us to make sure the boundaries correspond to same. Just wondering how to go about this or where to check?

Your solicitor wants you to go to the house with the map and check that it matches with the property. eg Location, size, boundry, position of the walls. etc. If the house is in an estate this is normally as simple as counting the number of houses on the road and making sure the house marked on the map matches with the house you are buying. If you are unsure get your surveyor to check it.
