My partner was in a PPA with revenue as he owed CGT and IT to revenue. All was fine until had a missed payment due to his local property tax being taken out of the account which he forgot was due to come out.
They did go in again but there wasnt enough in the account to cover the repayment due to the LPT. He works abroad where there is no internet connection sometimes and didnt receive an alert.
The ppa was canceled. The IT portion was sent to sheriff and the CGT was left with revenue.
He will not be able to repay the sheriff within the 18-24 month timeframe.
He contacted revenue twice by phone and another by my enquries. He hasnt disclosed that he is also a Company director and a lot of the clients are public bodies who will not make payments unless the director of the company has a TCC. The company might have to go. He has someone working for him.
A loan is a non runner. Does anyone know how we proceed, when will sheriff come. We only have the house in joint names. Our income is very low at the moment. I lost my job recently and the company is waiting for a new contract. Right now he's barely paying himself a wage.
He knows he should have the funds in the account and it would have been but for the LPT.
Any feedback advise would be really helpful.
