Given the predictions of economic perfect storms heading our way I think advise should be given to people to prepare for it.
For example;
Have 4 months of living expenses in a cash account or short notice account. Rationing this 4 months should give you a cushion of 6 months living allowance. That should be enough time to either get another job or make a significant life decision (ride it out by reskilling) or leaving the country.
Do not hold shares in the company you work for. If you hold shares in the company you work for you are liable for a double hit if things go south. You potentially lose your job and the share price tumbles (along with your wealth)
