This minimum balance will earn zero interest or a low rate of interest but could be earning interest in a savings account. KBC have reduced the monthly deposit requirement from 2,500 EUR to 2,000 EUR per month to avail for free day-to-day banking with their KBC Extra Current Account product.

PTSB have increased the fees on the PTSB Explore Account to 6 EUR per month.
