Hi,
I am currently contracting for a company in Australia, living in Ireland using my Irish Ltd Company.

They are going to offer me full time permanent job.

Would I have to become Tax Resident in Australia?

Would I pay Tax in Ireland or Australia?

Anyone know if this is even possible?

Thanks.

Where are you paying your taxes currently?

If you take the job offer where will you be working? If an Australian company engage an employee in Ireland, they need to register as an employer here and operate Irish payroll on it.

Hi torblednam,
thanks for replying I really appricate your advice.

Currently paying taxes in Ireland.
I will be living/working in Ireland with this new perm job arrangement.
They won't be setting up an Irish company they looked into it before but decided against it.

So given the above is it even possible? Sounds like it's not.

It's very possible, they don't have to have an Irish company, the Oz company just needs to operate an Irish payroll.
