Thanks for that Sue Ellen. Anybody else had a similar experience? It involves both Land Registry and Register of Deeds unfortunately .Hi apollo11,
Bredafc has not visited AAM for a long time now so may well not see your post unfortunately.

Chances are Pepper didn't lose them. When the loans are transferred two things happen, the deeds are transferred to Pepper or they are given a list to tell them who the deeds are with. This could be your old solicitor or a solicitor that your previous lender sent them to for some reason. Getting a solicitor to look for deeds sent to them a decade ago is a painful process and if Pepper had to go to the Law Society then it can take a long time to get a straight answer.Hi Brendafc. Did you get the deeds sorted out and if so, how long did it take? I have been sale agreed on a house since July; it was taking a long time and eventually found out (via Solicitor) that vendor's finance company (yes, it's Pepper) finally admitted to having lost them (or perhaps never received them from original lender). It's been over 5 weeks since I got that nugget of info. I am wondering how much longer I might expect to wait for the deeds to be reconstituted.
Thanks ClubMan. Yah, I've already combed through this (and Reddit) for some kind of a clue on a timeline. Bredafc's was the most relevant.
