what I find interesting is that we had a similar issue with Pepper HOWEVER we fell behind in payments no more then 2 months while trying to negotiate a settlement with Pepper and following them rejecting the offer we paid the arrears and managed to raise the money to continue paying the mortgage and it never fell into arrears again and we never heard from Pepper or Danske again. about 6 months later we get a letter from Danske bank thanking us for paying off the mortgage. So even though there were no arrears on the mortgage they SOLD the house from under us, no court, no legal contact, no letters, no phone calls, nothing. Luckily mortgage was paid off by the sale.
If this legal ?

OK, I have reread your post.

I am guessing it was an investment property.
They appointed a Receiver as they may have been entitled to do if you were not complying with the contract.
The Receiver has sold the property.

You will have to provide a lot more detail.
Presumably they would have issued you notice that they appointed a Receiver and presumably the Receiver collected rent?
You could have challenged that at the time.
