My company is making pension contributions through their pension scheme. I have some rental income and was wondering can I pay money into a PRSA to offset my liability. The company pension contributions are well in excess of the 25% I'm allowed, though I do not make any personal contributions to this.

I take it from your post that your company has an Occupational Pension Scheme and that you're in your 40s.

Rental income is not considered pensionable earning. But there's nothing to stop you making Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVCs) to your company's pension scheme or setting up an AVC PRSA and claiming full tax relief on these contributions. You'd need to check that you wouldn't be over-funding.
