Myself & my wife took out pension term relief policies in June- we are self employed & this looked like the best value method of having substantial life cover.

We are currently paying approx. €200 per month each & know we are entitled to relief on this figure- how do we claim it?

Apologies if this is a stupid question but we don't know much about this whole area.

When you are preparing your tax return, you can include these premiums as "pension contributions", as they are granted relief within your age-related pension contribution allowance (e.g. 20% of income if in your 30s, 25% if in your 40s etc.)
