Pension refund

I am an overseas staff nurse working here in Ireland with HSE for the last 3-1/2 years. I am paying for pension every month.

Now, I am planning to move back to my home country, India. I want to know if I can get a pension refund for the money I have paid or if I can do a transfer of the pension amounts here to my home country.

You have made pension contributions for over 2 years so that rules out a refund I am afraid.

In relation to transferring the fund, once a pension provider in India is prepared to receive the fund there should not be a problem transferring it. I doubt many on these forums are up to date on the pensions industry in India so it would be best to check with a financial expert there to check what the necessary requirements are.
