I am in my mid 20's. I own a house & am on 36k a year.

Can someone please advise what are my best options with regards to pension schemes. Thanks

Your paying 4,000 a year at the high rate of tax. So best advice would be to put this into a PRSA. After tax relief it will cost about 2300 net. By law your employer must make some sort of pension provision, and who knows they may even contribute something as well - depends on employer.

If you set up the pension before Oct 31 you can offset the contributions against your gross salary for 2005. Pay whatever you paid at the top rate into a pension fund. You will get back approx 48%.
