PAYE tax for 2011

I am confused about the changes to PAYE tax in the new budget.

We are married with 2 children and we both work full time, is it better to pay tax as a married couple with 2 incomes or to file singly.

If I switch to part time work next year does it effect my tax credits?
 
I think it's a better idea for married couples to be taxed jointly if they are both PAYE. There may not be any advantages at the moment but if you go on part-time it may be a better route. At least you can transfer credits between you just by phoning revenue
