PAYE,married,wife part time-am I paying correct tax?

I am married and have receved my new tax code i am down as paying tax as a married man, But my wife who only works 16hours a week is down as single.
I am paying high amounts of tax each week.
is this right ?

When you got married did you [broken link removed] and elect to go on joint/aggregated married taxation? Perhaps you can post specific details of the numbers involved so that people can check/comment? [broken link removed] might be of assistance in sanity checking your deductions.
