Not necessarily.

PAYE anytime can't be used to record Rental Income, but if the gross rent is less than 50k and the net rental income less than 3,174 then the OP would not be a chargeable person, and the correct form would be Form 12.

ROS only allows for a Form 11, so it would have to be a pen and paper job.
 
There was a tax "expert" on Newstalk this morning that certainly gave the impression that even a PAYE worker with a small rental income should submit their returns online.

Is he wrong? (I would be in that bracket.)
