If you have a Pay as you Go gas meter, how is the carbon tax charged?
There is a standing charge taken at 2am every night but I don't see how the carbon tax could be included in this as the standing charge is a daily rate and the carbon tax is by usage. Sure it must be taken as credit when the gas is being used otherwise you would be charged carbon tax for gas that is not being used (i.e. during the summer months).
Gas Networks Ireland manuals don't mention it at all.
