Patenting an Idea

I have an idea i wish to copyright. Its not an invention but a business idea. Its a completely new business idea. Im enquiring on how, if possible can i hold a patent on an idea before i approach people with the intentions of setting the business up.

Can i do this in a patent office?

Don't think you can patent an idea. Patents applies to physical ideas not brain stormers. You would get more knowledge if you google patents.
