Can somebody confirm whether the parent to child gift threshold applies to total of all gifts received from one or both parents ie is the max threshold €332,084 or (€332,084)*2?
Thanks in advance

It's €332,000 (i.e. both of your parents can't give you €332,000).

gift tax

yes plus you can add 3grand to that as they can gift you 3.000 a year also so that would be 335 grand i have to point out noonan has a mini budget on they way in may and the amount they can gift you will be around 20percent lower then now so around 260 grand
Another way to get more is dwelling house tax exemption
they can gift you there house if you still live there they just pay a 1 percent stamp duty tax on its value of course there a rules for this
contact 1890201104 thats the number for info on gift tax etc

Is that €3k per parent, e.g.€6000 in total?
Does revenue need to be informed each year?
Can it be backdated?
Are these yearly gifts taken into account when calculating CAT on total gifts?

It's €3,000 per parent.

It's not necessary to inform Revenue.

The €3,000 gifts are disregarded for aggregation purposes.
