Hi all, Two differnt models we are looking at and just wondering is the price difference worth it?
One is Viera TH-37PV70EY
The other is Viera TH-37PV7EY

As far as i can see spec wise the differnece is the first one has 3072 equivalent steps of graduation, and 10,000:1 contrast, as opposed to 2048 equivalent steps of graduation and 8,000:1 contrast.
Price differnce is 150 euro, is it worth it for the higher spec?

The PV70 also has an extra HDMI input (2 in total).

Not sure whether the PV7 has 100hz scanning. I know the PV70 does (I bought one a few weeks ago) and when I switched back to 50hz to compare I really saw that the 100hz option makes a big difference to SD pictures. PV7 may have this also - but it's difficult to tell from specs and it's complicated by the fact that the option to switch between 100hz and 50hz does not seem to be present on the UK equivalent to the PV70 (PX70 I think).

Don't know if that really helps? All I can say is I'm very happy with the PV70, even with analogue signals on ntl (not much worse than digital to be honest, which was not the case on my old Sony CRT).

Happy shopping.

PS I got mine at [broken link removed].
