Painting problem

Just painted the wall over my fireplace, second coat. Then I discovered a little bit I thought I missed and painted over that bit again which has actually made it worse. The original paint had dried in. Help please, is there something I can do to blend this square in again? It is really noticable.

Could you gently sand it back with a very fine sandpaper & then repaint the whole thing?

Once the newly painted bit dries, it should blend in with the rest.

I actually put another coat on again. I had it done quicker than I spent thinking about it! Painting is not my cup of tea.
