Packages from the US-who delivers?

Could anyone clarify how packages sent from the US via USPS are being delivered since GLS ceased to do so? I've read conflicting information about them now being delivered by an Post or Deutsche Post (DHL?).

I've never actually had anything delivered by GLS but have heard numerous horror stories, so if deliveries are now being made by Deutsche Post I'd be interested to hear if they are any better.

I’ve just received a package today from the US from Amazon.com. It was delivered by Deutsche Post. Shipped on the 20th, so delivered in 7 days.
