P50 claim after I have started working again?

A chara,
I have been made aware that I could have submitted a P50 form to get a refund of tax. My situation was I had been unemployed between March & October of last year. I subsequently found out that I could have gotten a refund of tax if I had submitted the P50 form. I was going to submit my Form 12/ 12A now but was just wondering if I could still submit my P50 to cover that period last year?

Form 12 is your best bet. Include all PAYE income and Social Welfare.

You have up to 4yrs to claim a refund.

Is there a time limit for claiming refunds?

Yes. Claims for refunds must be made within 4 years of the end of the year to which the claim relates. Claims made after this time cannot be repaid.
