Just a query really but i don't know if anyone can help or not. If an employee fails to give the minimum notice (1 week) to am employer, can anyone tell me what the time limit is on employer giving them a P45? Have looked up OASIS, DETE and Revenue websites but cannot seem to get a definitive answer.
Thanks

The issue of employees not receiving their P45 has been discussed frequently on Askaboutmoney. Do a search.

I don't know if your specific question has been answered though.

P45 is a cessation certificate. I can't see any reason why an employer would delay giving it, notice or not. I imagine the latest date would be when the employer is doing the next payroll. They have to send part of the P45 to tax office when you leave.

Yes but this does not mean that you have to hand the other part over to the x employee at the same time. It could just get lost in the bottom of a drawer.

True but the Revenue would have your details and once that happens you have something to work with i.e. ring tax office and explain the situation. They'll take it from there.
