Owner occupier moving out and renting house-tax implications

I am currently an owner occupier availing of the rent a room scheme. I may be changing jobs soon and moving. If I move out but continue to rent rooms or rent out the whole house I understand I'm liable for stamp duty (have house only 2 years). But what worries me more is that I'm liable for Capital Gains Tax when I sell. I don't want to sell up straight away. Any advice, anybody in a similiar situation. the costs associated with buying and selling houses (mostly taxes) make it very difficult.
