Does anyone think this has implications for over-70s mortgages in Ireland more generally? Could it lead to lenders offering mortgages for over-70s on the basis of age discrimination if they refuse to offer their products to this cohort? Not holding my breath. The UK offers quite a diverse range of products to older borrowers.
