I have one of those old (whirlpool) hobs with an extractor that you pull out which has a cover on the front that matches the kitchen panels. It's fairly manky and no obvious clips on the bottom when looking up to remove the grating so I can remove and soak it properly. Is there an easy way to just remove the timber matching panel in front i.e. push and up and turn so I can get a better view ? It's a small area so tking out the actual hob would be not easy either. It looks like that the grating is screwed together though rather than the usual pegs holding it in place. Any idea/tips apart from elbow grease first ?
