Thanks @ClubMan
Like I said in the thread title, messers, "we don't, oh we do, or wait, maybe we will later this week."
Fair play to Philip Hayes and to Ruth and the other volunteer drivers, it's a brilliant service which by complete coincidence, I have availed of.
I live in the sticks and the service operates from a central location with mini-buses driven by the volunteer drivers. The service users make their way to the central location, in our case a hotel car-park, and we get driven to and from the hospital. Depending on the treatment, you can be left feeling sick, sore, and at times very sorry for yourself and to have the security blanket of a return drive free of traffic-hassle, parking, tolls, etc. is a massive boon.
Thanks to every single one of the volunteer drivers, the Irish Cancer Society, and Insurance Ireland. Hopefully when I'm well enough I can do a few runs as pay-back.
I will of course be doing a Maggie Thatcher on Outsurance, they'll be "Out, Out, Out!"
