The back of my house is on a secluded lane and from time to time, kids throw stones and break windows. I want to put up cameras, fake or otherwise, to act as a deterrent. Anyone know where to get good fake cameras, or maybe real ones that I can hook to a PC to moniror the back garden.

If it's a DIY job you can get them from Argos or radionics. We did this for my dad and he just switches over the tv to the various cameras ( he has about three different ones).

Any of the Swann range of camera's are very good. I found Maplin's prices to be best around. 12 month warranty too which they stood over no question asked.

A friend of mine picked me up a fake one, with an LED light, from a joke shop in Swords. It worked a treat and convinced a regular vandal that I had CCTV installed.

Good to hear it worked for you, but it should be noted that very few real cameras have an LED!
