Opinion on buying in Newcastle, Dublin 22

I’m just wondering everyone’s opinion on Newcastle in Dublin, I have been looking at properties there that would suit me.

Main answers I’m looking for:

- How is the traffic on the N7 towards Dublin City in the morning driving wise?

- What is the general safety of the area? Are there any issues? I have been looking around Newcastle Boulevard area as wondering are there many social homes there? (Had a bad experience previously with social/council housing)

- What are the amenities like (grocery stores/ restaurants / gym etc.)
