Operating limited company as director only

I am a director and sole employee of my own limited company (I'm a service provider). I'm moving to the UK for around 2 years. My plan is to terminate my employment with my limited company and work as a sole trader in the UK for on-going, service-based work (which will be totally separate to the limited company and invoiced personally).

I want to keep the limited company as I am planning to build and operate a new business product through it in the near future.

I will obviously not be able to take any salary from the company, but are there any other considerations when continuing to perform work for the company as a director only (but not employee)?

This seems like a silly question but I've come to learn that there are caveats at every corner when operating a LTD.

I do not see why not. Seems straight forward to me.
Just continue to file returns for the Limited company , and file them on time.
