opening gmail,having trouble...

Hi All,
Im having a problem opening my email,its gmail. Firstly,my broadband works fine,.when i try and open my email, it lets me sign in and the white screen comes up,with "loading" on the top left hand corner. And it just stays like that, it wont let me actually into my messages.
I was on my email 2 days ago and everything was fine.
I can log onto any other website,hotmail etc. just the gmail is giving hassle.
Also, i restored the pc to last week just in case i blocked access to gmail or something and the same thing happens,
any help will be appreciated as im waiting on an important email

I have noticed with my gmail that there are occassions when I try to get into my messages it tells me to try at a later time or it shows loading first on the left hand side of screen and later on right hand side of screen before it actually opens messages.
