Opening Bank Account for young Nephew?

I was thinking of opening some sort of bank account for my nephew,something that could be of use to him when he gets older.

Does anyone know does any of the banks still offer accounts for younger people,since he is only few months old I'm presuming the account will have to be in the parents name?

What would you need to open such an account(e.g. ID,addresses etc..)
