Hi just wondering if anyone could help me work out what i will get from one parent family and FIS I work 3 days a week take home pay is 307. i live with my parents and have one child.

You'll need to know how much OFP you are entitled to before FIS rate can be worked out. Are you getting maintenance as this will be counted as means? Add this to your income to get a rough idea of means. To get FIS you must be working 19 hours a week or more. Then take your income from threshold figure (€500 in your case) and you get 60% of the balance as a weekl payment.

I dont get maintenance father is unemployed.
I work 22 hors a week my only income is the 307 i get a week from work

On the figures you have provided, you would be roughly* entitled to a One Parent Family Payment and FIS. Your one parent family payment (OPFP) entitlement is €150.80 (means test is €307 - €146.5 disregard = €160.5/2 to assess means = €80.25 and so the OPFP equates to €121 (€196 personal rate + €29.80 child dependent rate).

*I say roughly because your €307 income should be assessed minus PRSI, Union Dues and Pension Contribution.

Your FIS entitlment is (roughly*) €28.92 being €506 (income limit for one child) minus income of €307 (*minus income levy, superann, prsi, tax) and €150.80 = €48.20 x 60% = €28.92

So your household income will be €486.72 i.e €307 + €28.92 + €150.80(income + FIS + OPFP)

You should also look at a medical card entitlement. If you qualify for a medical card, you will not have to pay income levy - bonus!

Thanks so much for this info :)
I was so confussed trying to work it out from welfare.ie

Rhater than FIS, you may be entitled to half-rate JB for the days you are not working, if you are available for and looking for work (maybe this is not the case as you aren't claiming it already? This would be added to income when calculating OFP, of course.
