On IB need to claim ADI for husband

I am claiming IB in my own right at the moment, my husband's benefit expires shortly and he now has no entitlement to anything. What is the procedure for me to get the increase for him as an adult dependant?

Contact SW on 01 7043000, ask for Illness Benefits Section and they'll advise you on what is needed to make the change.

Note that if your husband ceases to claim benefits, his PRSI contribution history may be broken which could affect a pension in later years (he won't get contribution credits by being a qualified adult on your claim). If he is unable to work, he may have an entitlement to Invalidity Pension or Disability Allowance.
