I've had a look through previous post and can't see anything that answers my question, so here goes!

If you are on back to education allowance and have just completed 4th year and you want to sign on for a few weeks while you are looking for work
Do you get means tested or not?
 
You've finished the scheme so you have to be means tested. You were means tested during the summer holidays were'nt you ?

As for your options , I'm not sure but I think you can do a HDip to become a teacher and still get paid the BTEA and be non means tested again.
 
its not me its my boyfriend,
he worked last summer and the summer before that he was signed on, He was never means tested
he was on benefit not allowance before he started college.
 
He might be still entitled to Benefit as it could link back to when he made the claim orginally before he started college. If not, it would be Assistance. Best thing to do is ask in his local office.
