Ombudsman upheld 1% of tracker complaints finalised last year

“While the number of new tracker-related complaints is on a downward trajectory, it is notable that 139 new complaints of this nature were made to the FSPO in 2022,” it said. However, of the 247 tracker mortgage rate complaints closed, only three were upheld.

Of these, 94 tracker related decisions are available to read on the Ombudsman’s digest of decisions on the website. Most recently updated on 6th March with decisions up until the end of November 2022.

I’ve been keeping an eye on these and the upheld (fully, substantially, partially) 3 decisions appear to have issued in the first half of 2022.

Quick update to this. The Ombudsman has updated their database of decisions to include all anonymised complaints to the end of December 2022 as of the 5th of April. There have been no further tracker complaints partially/substantially/fully upheld complaints. You can review them all on the link below.
