Oil Central Heating

Hello

I need some opinions as to why my oil central heating keeps switching itself on and off after it has reached the required temp. This usually happens after about 15 minutes when it reaches the required temp and then switches on and off every 5 or 6 seconds after that .We had a new burner fitted about 6 months ago and its a Firebird super Q 50/90 indoor boiler.

thought that was the norm.but on and off every 5 or 6 secs is strange.anyone playing with the timer.? when mine goes on it turns its self off after the 1st 10 mins or so and goes back on and off every once and a while also.
 
No little ones in the house and previous to this it only came on and off every now and then
 
Sounds like a dodgy boiler thermostat, if you adjust the boiler temp (dial on the front) up or down, does the cycling stop?

If its not this, it maybe flue gas recycling, and needs a service and a check to sort it out
