NOW TV (from Sky)

Am I missing something or is it difficult to see from their website exactly what content this subscription gives you? I can't seem to find a clear list of channels/streams etc.

An offer of €3.99 per month (minimum 12 month contract) is excellent for entertainment.
For somebody who hasn't been a customer of Sky or Now, yes it's a great deal and compared to Sky Stream or Glass it's a super deal
I recently signed up to Sky Fibre on a package that gave me BB for €27, Sky Stream for €18 and Netflix for free and a couple of other add ons
It's €45 a month for the year and was for us a relative good deal when compared to what we were been offered by others for just fibre alone
The only difference ATM* between Sky TV and Now Entertainment, is with Sky TV I have access to watch terrestrial channels live
And even at the reduced price of €18pm reduced from €31 I feel I'm getting royally screwed with that offer from Now

I can't seem to find a clear list of channels/streams etc.
Now Entertainment is really a streaming version of all the shows that are available on Sky TV, it's all about the TV shows or big named series
With the added feature of been able to watch some Sky branded channels live but not the usual terrestrial channels
A listing of channels and shows is all there on the offer page if you scroll down

Personally for me and my viewing style and history a 12 month subscription is way too long, two/three months a year on each is more than...

ATM*
I mentioned this as I see on the Sky site that anybody who signed up for the "ultimate TV" package over the "Essential" @ €24pm
will be getting Disney+, HBO Max and Hayu added to their subscriptions along with Netflix

Which I think is the "Entertainment" package - even that isn't obvious.

Entertainment package gives you 16 live Sky channels plus 300+ box sets on demand, including big hitters like Sky Atlantic, Sky Max, Sky Comedy, and Sky Documentaries.

What the Entertainment Membership includes (Ireland)

  • 16 live channels, including:
    • Sky Atlantic
    • Sky Max
    • Sky Comedy
    • Sky Documentaries
    • Sky Witness
    • Sky Sci‑Fi
    • Sky Crime
    • Sky Arts
    • Comedy Central
    • MTV
    • Gold
    • Alibi
    • And others depending on region
300+ box sets on demand, covering:

HBO dramas
  • Sky Originals
  • US and UK comedies
  • Documentaries
  • Reality and lifestyle shows
ALL the above courtesy of copilot, which I suppose is me letting the cat out of the bag!?

'In medieval markets, sellers sometimes offered a poke (a small sack) supposedly containing a young pig. Unscrupulous traders would swap the pig for a cat, which was worthless for meat.If the buyer didn’t check the bag before paying, they’d discover the trick only later — hence the warning “don’t buy a pig in a poke.”

This is also where the phrase “let the cat out of the bag” comes from: opening the sack revealed the deception'

The €3.99 per month deal for Entertainment & HBO is still available using code NOWENTDHKDPB
Thanks to Ohmeha on boards.ie for this.
Watching The_Pitt at the moment. It stars Noah_Wyle who is now the ERs head honcho. Brilliant series and there's many more.
This deal won't last long and should be grabbed up immediately!!

Do the box sets have ads?
Yes they do, But as @Charlie 07 says you add boost to avoid this for a small cost
I've got Now a few times now  and used to get the boost as I'm used to add free streaming but haven't done so for the last two times
There normally is a 60 second add at the beginning and maybe one or two more during an episode which could be 1 second to 60 seconds IIRC
it's not as intrusive as normal TV but if you sign up to Now you can add boost later if you feel it is
