Notice typo rule

There was talk of adding a "slip" rule.

This would mean that if you make a small typo in a notice, then it wouldn't invalidate the notice.

It looks like they decided not to add this. I may have missed it though.

The opposite happened really. There are lots of places where the notice will require even more information and even more places for "slips".

The slip rule was introduced in 2015 -

Residential Tenancies (Amendment) Act 2015, Section 30

The electronic Irish Statute Book (eISB) comprises the Acts of the Oireachtas (Parliament), Statutory Instruments, Legislation Directory, Constitution and a limited number of pre-1922 Acts.

Ahh ok, so it already existed. That would explain why I didn't see anything about it.

I guess the debate was that it wasn't actually been used. So, it is more an RTB policy thing.

Maybe someone needs to take the RTB to court about it.
