Northern Rock Losing the 1000 Minimum?

A friend told me that Northern Rock are going to remove the minimum €1000 on their demand online account but cannot find any mention of that on their site.

Apologies if this was already discussed here or if my friend is winding me up, is there any truth in this?

The last rumour about NR I heard on this site was that they were going to pass on the full 0.25% rate increase on their online account.

They didn't. They only passed on 0.15%. I'd wait for proof.
