Northern Rock compensation for shareholders?

Hello,
i was one of the people that had shares in nothern rock a year ago when they were taking over by the government. I had them in a nominee account with broker. I have not heard anything about compensation or the company going private again.

Is there anyone else in the same situation? Will anything be given to the shareholders that still have shares in the bank?

Much like Anglo Irish bank, an independent assessor is currenty trying to work out a fair valuation of the shares at the time of nationalisation.

I wouldn't hold your breath though as the valuation is almost certainly going to be zero.
