I'm Irish living in eastern Europe for the past 5 years.
I have 20k sitting in a deposit account which I want to shift
into the stockmarkets.
I'm concerned about tax if I invest in the Irish stockmarket.
Can I invest as a non-resident ?
Will I be taxed on my earnings ?
Any advice on where to invest (Ireland/abroad) ?
I'm currently reading the AAM guide to investing.
When I return to Ireland in the next few years I'd like to take
some funds with me in order to buy a property.
I've been told if I'm non-resident for the previous 3 years,
than I can take funds in with any tax consequences.
Does anyone know if this is true ?
