Non Resident Voluntary Contributions

Hi there
I have a question and hopefully somebody may be able to help.

I migrated to Australia from Ireland in 2003(have over 520 class A contributions in Ireland) and started paying voluntary contributions as once off payment for the last 3 years.

My last voluntary contribution payment for 2005 was only 351 euros.

Question is should I be paying PRSI contributions on my Australian income? and if so presubably at high rate 6.6%.

For tax purposes,I was no longer Irish resident 2004 onwards.

Any information greatly appreciated.

Brian

Hi there,
Anybody any ideas on income rules for prsi voluntary contributions.

Are u assessed on non irish income if u are non irish resident?(I migrated to Australia 3 years ago) and if so presumably I should inform voluntary contributions unit in Ireland of my Australian income.

As stated previously,I am currently making once off annual voluntary prsi contribution payments but these seem to be at a predetermined amount
(currently 351 euros pa)

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Brian
