No need to register, just print off the form and send it off - UK Pension

Simply don't know the address of last employer but do have NI number, think it's a very long shot as they were summer jobs 3 out of 4 years. Surely HMRC know the last employer from their records?

That's what I'll have to do, it was a portacabin in Stratford wasteland now the Olympic Stadium also concerned as to whether some of these jobs ahem returned everything, long time ago so lets see

I have completed CF83 to the best of my ability - I left the UK in 1995 and cannot remember the various places I was employed as a temp. I sent a cover letter explaining this but have received a form back called Voluntary Class 2 eligibility letter to be filled out with the information I simply can't remember. Is there any way of finding out this information? I just can't seem to find it online. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Ironically you may be able to get this information from the HMRC. You can make a SAR (Subject Access Request). For some reason I can't post the url here but if you search HMRC SAR request in Google you should be able to find it.

I did this a few years ago and requested all the data they had related to my NI contributions. They returned information going right back the seventies when I left school. I needed this information to justify the total number of years I'd been working, for my french pension. I couldn't remember the names/dates of the companies going back to 1975 but it was all there. The information was a bit difficult to read but it jogged a few memories for me and I got what I needed.

I don't think the exact start and end dates for each company were there though. I estimated (fudged) some dates a bit

How long did it take? Strange how we can't access that ourselves with HMRC login in this day and age

This?

When i did it in 2019 they had a legal obligation to return the information within 28 days. It took a few weeks as far as I remember. I don't know if that's changed since then.

Were you employed via an agency? If so thats the employer.

Put as much information as you can. Use google maps, names of pubs, bus routes, tube stations to jog your memory.

Does anyone know how to get around actually registering as HMRC doesn't seem to accept Irish passport or driving licence; or am I missing something?
