No internet connection on Guest account

I use Windows XP, in Administrator mode. Occassionally, I allow others to use my PC in Guest mode - just today, I have noticed that there is no internet connection under the Guest mode. It is not even configured - it will not allow a guest to configure, needs an administrator.

It had been working perfectly up to now. Any thoughts??

PS - Eircom broadband, Zyxel modem.

I've noticed this happening before on Windows 2000 - i.e. a network connection set up under one account (possibly Administrator) not appearing under others and needing to be reconfigured under these. I never got a chance to investigate it and see if I was doing something wrong... :\

Oh - that's strange all right. Any Windows Updates or Service Packs installed between when it was working and when it stopped?

As Clubman points out what changes have been made to the PC recently? If it was working and then it is not then something has had to change to cause that.

Have you got up to date anti-virus software and a firewall installed?
