I tried a few specialist wine shops to give them by business online but their websites are appalling. Went to O'Briens and the supermarkets instead.

I've had good experience with this website https://www.siyps.com/
Very quick delivery previously and an interesting and different selection of wines. They've a Black Friday discount today 15% off. It has a range of prices so should suit most people.

They've probably been doing ok, maybe better than ok as people who normally have dinners out and having special dinners at home with a nice bottle.

I mentioned WOTW more for convenience of purchase, and also they have a different selection available to the usual supermarket fare.

Arnotts have a great selection of bar and wine ware (in the dining section of homeware on their website) including nice glasses, corkscrews etc if you don't want to buy your wine lover wine. I particularly recommend their le cruset corkscrew - expensive yes, but mine has been going great guns for well over a decade and has seen us through God knows how many parties during that time.

Thanks. Ordered a case. Free delivery to the Northwest! My postie will be pleased!

It's a while since I drank some wine but we bought seven bottles of around €9.50 priced wine in Dunnes Stores for €43.50 with the €10.00 Voucher and with the instore discount and were suppled with another €10.00 Voucher for our next grocery shopping there. I noticed a bottle of "Original" Baileys for €10.00 there.

All things considered, customer friendliness, service, choice, management of restrictions, price, quality, parking etc I think it would be difficult to beat Dunnes.

Tesco have €10 off, if you purchase 6 bottles of wine. Ends tomorrow. Is this off a purchase of any 6 wines or just selected wines?

Are you sure that is Tesco? I think Supervalu have that offer for any 6 full size bottles. Maybe Dunnes also.

Tesco have 6 for €40 on these specified wines only, until tomorrow:

LIDL also have a 6 for €40 offer running until Wednesday.

Thanks odyssey for that. Yes, I remember now. I purchased 6 bottles last week in Tesco but did not get the offer. Last year the exact same wines were included in the offer. The wines that I purchased had been reduced to €8 per bottle with Tesco both this year and last year. The same wines were circa €8.85 in Dunnes this year. So buying in Dunnes and using my €10 off voucher would have been a better purchase than buying in Tesco.

Too late now......unless I buy another half dozen.

Most supermarkets seem to have wine deals at present. It depends on what wines someone is looking for to become good value. Our preference is Simply Organic in Supervalue. 10 euro off and with a 10 euro voucher makes this wine very good value for us. everyone has their own favourites.
And it is a present for us :)
