NIB 4.5% Regular Savings account

I contacted National Irish Bank today re: opening a 4.5% regular savings account to lodge a lump-sum (Even though the account states it's a regular savings account, you can lodge lump-sums without making any regular savings!).

I was told that this rate lasts until Friday 30th May next. It will then revert to 1% per annum.

I was told by my branch today that the rate was guaranteed till 30th April not 30th May. ????
